In its effort to empower the youth in a holistic perspective, NYEN established a project of talent development in which youth participate and compete against each other at all levels, allowing school-going and out-of-school youth to be together in the same arena. Objectives * To develop youth talents * To focus youth in the right direction The project embraces sports such as soccer and cross-country running. The soccer events are held twice a year: in March for schools to compete against each other and in December for community teams to compete. The cross-country running is held once a year in June. In all these sports, we encourage youth to register through different mass media outlets such as the radio and flyers. Afterward we reward the winners with prizes to keep them motivated for better results in the future.
