On the 26th Febraury 2012, one of the NYEN youth Ronald Bombo went to attend a Youth Congress focusing on Steps Towards Change among the youth in the world. its taking place in Cadca, Slovakia. The congress is about sharing and discussing issues and steps which can be taken to create achange among the youth in the world. He is representing National Youth Empowerment Network on behalf of the young people in Uganda.
21st of Febraury 2012 was very wonderful day as a team of National Youth Empowerment Network met with the Techinical Advisor/Education for Youth Empowerment Mr. Soren Bo Poulsen from Save the Children about our work and experiences. It was an insightful moment as we showed great interest and passion of the work we are doing for the young people. It was such a wonderful and an inspiration time as we shared work.
Wagari Girls show cased their items during the party organised by the National Youth Empowerment Network office in Kakunyu village. It was done to thank the girls for their commitment and also motivate them as they went back to school. They were told to continue with the great work well-done. The most a musing and interesting items were the bags which were made out of polythene bags as a way to protect the environment. This was taught to the girls by Rebecca Roberts during her volunteer term last year. it was such a lovely moment.
